Full details of the enhanced stewardship campaign can by found at www.getpelletwise.co.uk but the main changes for 2017 are:

• Metaldehyde slug pellets must only by used as part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programme. Implementation of these measures should minimise slug infestations and reduce, or entirely eliminate the need for metaldehyde treatment.
• No pellets are to be allowed to fall within a minimum of 10 metres of any field boundary or watercourse.  This is to ensure maximum protection of the environment, particularly birds, small mammals and water.
